How to use the camdencyclists Flickr account to upload & tag images

Tags

Tags help Flickr users to search for and organise images. This is one of the features that makes Flickr interesting and fun to use.

Initial proposal for tagging images: At least tag each image with "camden cycling campaign" and the name of the event at which the photo was taken. Or, in the case of something like Bike Week which has multiple events, use "camden cycling campaign", "london bike week 2006", and "ossulton street cyclists breakfast".

Descriptions

Enter descriptions if useful and if time permits. If images are to be used by the press, a blurb with names of people, etc., will be helpful.

Titles

I think it's okay to stick to the file name created by the camera.

Resolution

Precise resolution will depend on the aspect ratio set in the camera. If images are to be used in print, the largest uncompressed version should be uploaded. Otherwise, I'd suggest changing to something around 1200px X 900px.

Sets

Organise photos from specific events or themes into sets. Detailed instructions will be posted here, along with other technical tips.
