Link 29 CRISP
CCC received a questionnaire for a CRISP on Agar Grove (the shortest ever?).
We had though that Link 29 was supposed to link from the north south route (6) on St Pancras way to Copenhagen Street (on Islington's Link 109). That's what the LCN+ webmap shows. After some discussion with Steve Cardno and Nick Chitty it was agreed that the whole (still short) link should be considered as well as an an alternative.
Map showing link 29 and alternative
The first route follows Agar Grove and York Way. The alternative is via Barker Drive, Camley street and Goodsway.
Response to questionnaire (14.03.07)
It has been suggested by Brian Deagan and Steve Cardno that the following links should also be studied:
- Polygon Road, Eversholt Street, Barnby Street and the pedestrian link to Hampstead Road.
- As above, but via Phoenix Road rather than Polygon Road and Purchese Street.
- above, but via Aldenham Street. This could minimise cyclists exposure to Eversholt Street as they travel between Somers Town and Barnby Street.
NB in terms of cycle access Midland Road and Brill Place are currently affected by the works by St Pancras Station, although they could become part of a cycle route on completion of the works. In the meantime we could look at the possible use of Chenies Place and Purchese Street as an alternative.
