Bloomsbury Vision 2008

Terry Farrel produced blue skies scheme in 2007. Camden council commissioned Burns and Nice to make it more concrete. General discussion of meetings and cycling issues.

Following Terry Farrel's schematic proposals, urban design specialists Burns and Nice have been commissioned to develop proposals for improvements to "the physical environment" of Bloomsbury in the following "key locations"

  • Byng Place
  • Malet Street
  • Montague Place
  • Great Russell Street

Bloomsbury Vision : workshop 1

Two meetings were held in the first week of April. The first a stakeholder workshop. Report on Workshop by SC and JD.

Bloomsbury Vision : Cycling

The second meeting was about cycling in the context of the Bloomsbury Vision - called by Sam Monck. Report on Meeting with Sam Monck by SC and JD.

We reported the above meetings to members on the mailing list and at a meeting on 14th April. JD asked for advice as to a position to adopt at the forthcoming Steering Group Meeting. CCC's position on SSL/Byng Place April 2008

Bloomsbury Vision Steering Group
