Agar Grove - Camley Street link

This new route between east Camden and St Pancras Station siphons cyclists off busy roads and shortens the route to the City. It also allows footpath access for walkers to the Camley Street Nature Reserve, the British Library and St Pancras Church gardens. To join the link northbound, go to the top end of Camley Street and to join it southbound, go to the point where Murray Street meets Agar Grove – the entry is on the south side of Agar Grove, opposite the Murray pub. Danger at Crogsland Crossing

A warning to anyone who uses the cycle crossing over Chalk Farm Rd at the junction with Crogsland Road: the signals have been reset incorrectly. This means that northbound vehicles continue to move across the cycle track in conflict with cyclists using the green signal. It took months to persuade Camden Council to put it right last year, can they ever be trusted to keep this simple and useful crossing safe?

Permeability Campaign

For cyclists, permeability is about being able to ride through a network of streets in the most direct manner. Unfortunately, routes are often made longer by one way streets, forbidden turns and road closures. Road changes to increase permeability might include: making an exception for cycle traffic in a traffic order, e.g. 'no right turn except cycles'; contraflow cycle lanes; a dropped kerb opposite an entrance to a park as well as cycle gaps through road closures and two-way cycling in one-way streets. Read more about the campaign.
