Notes on Meeting with Camden Council

Meeting between Dave Stewart, representing Camden council and Jean Dollimore and John Chamberlain, representing CCC.

The meeting started with a discussion of four recent consultations. We had a good discussion with Katie Dixon who is working on the design of Bedford Square regeneration but were disappointed that they are rejecting westbound contraflow cycling on the north side of the square. Not much progress can be reported on the other consultations.

There was a brief discussion of the latest ideas for Baynes Street junction. CCC has now seen the JMP Safety Audit.

The CRISP process for the north-south route will start soon. This will be unusual in that the Camden section of this cycle route is almost complete. It will really be a chance to improve things at the detail level.

SSL (or Link 0) is slow... delays due to signals at Marchmont and Judd junctions and a building operation in between. Use the signed deviation via Leigh Street to get between Regent Square and Marchmont Street.

CCC reported on audits on two other almost completed schemes.
