Bikeabilit is the new name for the new cycling proficiency standard developmed by Cycling England and the Department for Transport.
It has been trialled with several thousand children elsewhere in England but is now ro be extended nationwide.
Training
This follows the three-level National Cycling Standards described to us by David Dansky last year. Report on David Dansky's talk
- Level 1: bike control
- Level 2: on quite roads, dealing with traffic
- Level 3: cycling on busy roads.

The Event
This started with children on a regular training session riding round the roads near to the school.
By the time we went inside, the bike sheds were full! But we went into the Hall to hear an introduction from Jill Fraser, the Camden Mayor and speeches from Philip Darnton,Chairman of Cycling England and from Rose Ades, haed of TfL's cycling centre of execellence.
