Campaign to improve the Regents Park Outer Circle

Since Sept 2008, Frances Mortimer has been leading a new campaign: CCC is working with Westminster Cyclists on a proposal for improving the area outside the entrance to the zoo with a view to improving conditions for pedestrians and cyclists visiting the park and the zoo. We suggest that the stretch in front of London Zoo, from Macclesfield Bridge to the Car Park should be closed to to non-authorised vehicles.

We have support from Living Streets and Sustrans. We have taken advice from ZSL (the zoo) on what access they would require, and received their support in principle for reducing traffic in the area. You can read our proposal at:

This proposal has been put to the Royal Parks and we await their response.
