CCC at Two Tings
Cycling has increased dramatically in recent years, particularly along London canals for a whole host of reasons. With the increase in cyclists on the canals there has been a marked increase in the number of complaints about conflict along the towpath.

To address the issue of conflict, Groundwork have been working with British Waterways to host a number of awareness mornings under the Two Tings campaign, encouraging cyclists to ring twice when passing pedestrians, and pedestrians to be aware of the significance of two rings.
CCC participated in events in Summer 2007 and again in March. The photo shows CCC volunteer Michael Stuart volunteers talking to a cyclist on the towpath. He is one of six CCC volunteers that have helped throughout the campaign
All tow path users are asked if they are aware of the British Waterways tow path Code of Conduct.
Bicycle bells are given and fitted to cyclists who need them. People are given stickers and leaflets explaining the code of conduct.
