A leisurely circular ride using quiet local roads and cycleways on Hampstead Heath, walking the bits where they don't join. Meet for lunch afterwards at Cafe Mozart, Swains Lane.

CCC's feeder rides will leave Swiss Cottage at 10:30 and at 12:30 Get there a good 15 minutes before. Meet for return ride at 3:30 pm (ask for the location when you come to the feeder ride).

Assemble outside the German Gym, Pancras Road (opposite the station entrance) at 8 am for an 8 am ride round the station, park in and demo. Join us on your way to work - we plan to stay until 10 or later, to greet people taking the first train out at 10.30 and first arrivals from Europe at 11.10.

Ride along the Thames towpath to Richmond, returning via Wimbledon Common, the river Wandle and Clapham Common. Lunch and tea stops. Shouldn't need lights! 35+ miles; lunch will be at a pub in Mortlake. One amazingly steep hill but otherwise quite reasonable. Tea stop on Wimbledon Common, all things being equal. Meet at Interchange studio on Haverstock Hill (100 m up from Belsize Park tube station) at 11am.

Bike Bus from Camden Square to Hampstead Heath   Camden, 2008-06-15 14:00:00 - 2008-06-15 17:00:00

Join bus in Camden Square at 2 or 3pm; pick ups in Rochester Road, Grafton Road (by pool and by Queens Crescent) at 10, 20, 25 minutes later. Return trips leave Hampstead Heath at 4 or 5 pm. Experienced cyclists will lead groups of parents and their children on this ride.

Ride to the Lea Valley   Highgate Road entrance to Hampstead Heath cycleway (near tennis courts, opposite NW5 1RP), 2010-05-09 10:15:00 - 2010-05-09 17:00:00

Family oriented ride to the Lea Valley, along the towpath and back via Finsbury Park. Lunch at a cafe by the river or bring your own. Easy paced with time to look around and visit the nature reserve. 18 miles on (mostly) quiet roads, cycleways and towpath. Meet 10.15 for 10.30 am start.

Herts and Beds Ride   Leave from West Hampstead Thameslink Station, 2009-08-16 10:40:00 - 2009-08-16 17:00:00

Medium paced ride through quiet countryside from St Albans, ending up at Harlington, both on Thameslink line. About 50 km. Lunch stop at Emily's Tea Shop in Whitwell. Starts on Sustrans route from St Albans then on small roads via Ayot St Lawrence, a bit hilly but only one hard one into Harlington at the end of the ride. Trains are not stopping at Kentish Town that day so we will meet at 1040 at West Hampstead Thameslink station for the 1055 train to St Albans. Alternatively you could join the same train at St Pancras, leaving at 1048. There is a quicker return available via Luton for those who wish to peel-off. Long ride - up to 100 miles, with opt-out points at approximately 25, 50 and 75 miles along the way, returning by train from Ashford. Start at 8:30 sharp. Lunch and tea stops. Bring lights, rail pass (if you have one), water bottle and snacks.

Ride to the Wave is part of a national day of action to bring attention to the Climate talks in Copenhagen We will gather from 11:00 am at Hampstead theatre and leave promptly by 11:30 for Grosvenor Square. All welcome including family and children.

Medium length ride - about 50-60 miles. Meet at 10:15 and start at 10:30 sharp. Lunch and tea stops. Bring spare inner tube, water bottle and snacks. Back by 17:30.

George's Shuttleworth Ride   West Hampstead Thameslink Station, 10:15am, 2010-08-15 10:15:00 - 2010-08-15 17:00:00

Meet at West Hampstead Thameslink station at 10:15 for the 10:25 train to Bedford (or join it at St Pancras at 10:17). We'll ride to Shuttleworth for lunch by 1 pm, stay until around 2:30 to allow time for people to visit the Shuttleworth Collection of old aircraft then ride to Harlington to pick up the return train. People wanting to stay longer than that will be given a map showing the route to Harlington. Catch a return train from Harlington around 16:30 (trains are every 15 mins) to arrive back by about 17:30. Most of the route is on dedicated cycle tracks and small lanes; total distance about 30 miles. Riders should buy a day return to Bedford (~£17 or £11:20 with a rail card). There is a good café at Shuttleworth. Entry to the aircraft museum is £10 (lots of lovely pre-WWII planes see www.shuttleworth.org).
