CCC's feeder rides will leave Swiss Cottage at 10:30 and at 12:00 Get there a good 15 minutes before. Meet for return ride at 3:30 pm (ask for the location when you come to the feeder ride).

Assemble outside the German Gym, Pancras Road (opposite the station entrance) at 8 am for an 8 am ride round the station, park in and demo. Join us on your way to work - we plan to stay until 10 or later, to greet people taking the first train out at 10.30 and first arrivals from Europe at 11.10.

Thames Towpath Ride (Interchange Studios, Haverstock Hill, NW3 4QP, 1045 for 1100 depart, from Apr 15, 2012 10:45 AM to Apr 15, 2012 06:00 PM)

Ride along the Regents Canal & Thames towpaths to Richmond, returning via Wimbledon Common, the river Wandle and Clapham Common. Lunch and tea stops. Shouldn't need lights! About 35 miles; lunch will be at a pub in Mortlake. One amazingly steep hill but otherwise quite reasonable. Tea stop on Wimbledon Common, all things being equal. Meet at Interchange studio on Haverstock Hill (100 m up from Belsize Park tube station) at 1045 for 11am start.

Herts and Beds Ride (Leave from West Hampstead Thameslink Station, from Aug 16, 2009 10:40 AM to Aug 16, 2009 05:00 PM)

Medium paced ride through quiet countryside from St Albans, ending up at Harlington, both on Thameslink line. About 50 km. Lunch stop at Emily's Tea Shop in Whitwell. Starts on Sustrans route from St Albans then on small roads via Ayot St Lawrence, a bit hilly but only one hard one into Harlington at the end of the ride. Trains are not stopping at Kentish Town that day so we will meet at 1040 at West Hampstead Thameslink station for the 1055 train to St Albans. Alternatively you could join the same train at St Pancras, leaving at 1048. There is a quicker return available via Luton for those who wish to peel-off. Join bus in Camden Square at 2 or 3pm; pick ups in Rochester Road, Grafton Road (by pool and by Queens Crescent) at 10, 20, 25 minutes later. Return trips leave Hampstead Heath at 4 or 5 pm. Experienced cyclists will lead groups of parents and their children on this ride.

Family oriented ride to the Lea Valley, along the towpath and back via Finsbury Park. Lunch at a cafe by the river or bring your own. Easy paced with time to look around and visit the nature reserve. 18 miles on (mostly) quiet roads, cycleways and towpath. Meet 10.15 for 10.30 am start.

Ride to the Wave is part of a national day of action to bring attention to the Climate talks in Copenhagen We will gather from 11:00 am at Hampstead theatre and leave promptly by 11:30 for Grosvenor Square. All welcome including family and children.

Medium length ride - about 50-60 miles. Meet at 10:15 and start at 10:30 sharp. Lunch and tea stops. Bring spare inner tube, water bottle and snacks. Back by 17:30.

George's Hertfordshire Ride (formerly Chilterns Ride) (West Hampstead Thameslink station, from Jul 24, 2011 11:15 AM to Jul 24, 2011 05:00 PM)

The Metropolitan Line service on which the previous plan for a ride in the Chilterns depended has now been cancelled for 'scheduled engineering work', even though it was shown as available when we planned the ride! So we have replanned and moved the ride to Hertfordshire, using the Thameslink service from West Hampstead. Meet 11:15 am at West Hampstead Thameslink station for the 11:26 to Harpenden arriving 11:48. This will be a 30 mile easy ride with only mild hills, stopping at Emily's Tea Room in Whitwell for lunch and returning from Elstree station.

Veloteer inspection ride (1) route (Meet outside Camden Town Hall, from Mar 19, 2011 11:00 AM to Mar 19, 2011 12:30 PM)

A ride round the streets of Kings Cross and Somerstown to see the good, bad and ugly of cycling provision. We'll finish at about 12.30 with lunch in a pub near the Town Hall where we can discuss and make notes on what we've seen.

Inspection ride (2) (Meet outside the Honest Sausage on the Broadwalk between Chester Road and Outer Circle, from Apr 16, 2011 11:00 AM to Apr 16, 2011 12:30 PM)

We'll show people useful routes via Broadwalk, the canal towpath, the proposed local route and through Regents Park Estate, looking at new 2-way cycling measure in Princess Road and soon to come in Park Village East. Meet at 9:15 am at Swiss Cottage (by Hampstead Theatre) for ride up Finchley Road and Hendon Way to the start of an anticlockwise campaigning ride round the North and South Circular Roads (about 70 miles). First stop at the Ace Café Stonebridge. A campaigning ride to demonstrate that cyclists should be able to ride on these orbital roads. James hopes to pick up riders as the group passes through the many boroughs on the two circular roads.
