Cycle Maintenance Workshop Syllabus

Brief outline of the workshops.

The workshops will take place at Velorution new location , 93 Great Portland St. London W1W 7NX. Velorution 
 
We have now separated the two workshops to two independently bookable sessions which will focus on the topics listed below. The next two workshops will run on October 8th and October 29th.

 First workshop - Saturday October 8th, 2011, 2-6pm

 
 Content : puncture repair,brake adjustment,safety check
 
 Components covered:  tyre, tubes , rim tapes, brake levers, cables, pads, brakes, rims 
 

 Second workshop - Saturday October 29th, 2011, 2-6pm

 

 Content:  Drive train assessment,gear adjustment, general safety check

 Components covered  chains, sprockets, chain rings , shifters, cables, derailleures, handlebar, grips, stem , saddle, seat post, seat-post, accessories, bottom brackets, headset.  


You will carry out some of the work on your own bicycle while some other bicycles or material will be available for demonstration and/or practice. 

Tools will be provided but you may want to consider bringing a small tool kit with you. (also available for purchasing at Velorution) 

The class will be run by an experienced instructors and there will be a maximum of 6 participants. The cost of each sessions will be £30 (payable in advance). If you need small items such as inner tubes, cables etc you can purchase them from the shop. (please note that we are able to offer this low rate only thanks to a grant from the  London Borough of Camden whom we gratefully acknowledge)
